CLEAR ROUND – Fences will be as small as we can make them and this
Class will run from 4.45pm until 5.30pm. Outside assistance is permissible
and riders may be on a lead rein.
Class 1: 55cm (approx 1’9”)
Combinations of horse/pony and rider are not eligible for this class if they have won the Eland Lodge Trophy in previous years. No BSJA registered combinations may compete in these classes.
Class 2: 65cm (approx 2’1”)
Class 3: 75cm (approx 2’6”)
Start Time will be 4.45pm prompt.
Entry fees are £7 for the Clear Round class and £10 for all others. A £3 per rider fee will be charged as a contribution to our medical cover.
Rosettes will be given up to sixth place, and the first three in each class will receive vouchers to the value of £10, £8 and £5 although this will be dependent on the number of entries in the class.
Some classes will be run as two phase dependent on number of entries, daylight and weather.
All fences will be raised by 5cm in the jump off and horses and ponies will be split.
Riders may ride H/C in all classes. No one over the age of 16 may ride a pony. Riders of horses must be aged 13 or over. (A pony is classed as up to and including 14.2h.h.).
• During April and May Classes 2 and 3 are qualifiers for The UK Riders Challenge 2017. From September these classes will be qualifiers for the 2018 Challenge. These classes on 20th June will be run as The UK Riders Challenge 2017 Regional Final. Everyone is welcome to attend but if you have qualified please remember to bring your certificate with you on the night.
Eland Lodge will be running a points system whereby points will be awarded to the top six horses and ponies in each class. The points will be added up throughout the season to give an overall winner in each class. Points will be awarded to horse and rider combinations at all of our Tuesday night competitions up to and including our show on 6th September. The points trophies will be awarded at our End of Season Show on Sunday 11th September at the end of each relevant class.
Combinations who achieve a double clear round in Class 3 in June and July will qualify for the “Championships of Great Britain” which is to be held in August at the David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Monmouthshire. Please ask Secretary for details.
