So it’s the New Year & we have a new instalment of WYC Makes
, our programme of free workshops for 15-25s.
Starting 30th January, spoken-word artist Cave Man will be leading six killer sessions to share his skills & techniques in writing and developing performative poetry. See below…
WYC MAKES: LYNGUISITIVE
Ninjas. Detectives. Poets.
The game is afoot; the gate is open for us to follow wherever our questions lead…
Over six sessions we will explore poetry & movement, slipping through crowds and searching through collections to discover new ways to create and approach art.
Expect to look at image, the art of storytelling, different types of poetry & rhymes, body movement, sound & location. Anyone with an interest in writing & performance will find this a great opportunity to gain new knowledge, build confidence and develop their set of skills.
All workshops are running on a drop-in basis, so no need to book ahead. Sessions are informal and all levels of experience are welcome – even if you’re completely new to performing and spoken-word.
Please go to the gallery’s Clore Learning Studio (ask at the front desk for where to go).
