In 2017 the formation around Mastermind Rogue finally returns with a new album. “Astromythology” will be a further musical milestone in the 25-year-old band history. Traditionally, Rogue (vocals, songwriting, programming, lyrics), Jen „Pyromantic“ Jawidzik (keyboards), David Wood (violins), JoHanna Moresco (violins), Jessica du Pont (drums) and Victoria Whitford (guitars) will perform the new songs live on an extended tour.
With their single “Helios”, which is available digitally, they already give a first taste of the new album “Astromythology”. The fans were able to experience the song live on the Dragon*Con. “Awesome, solid”, the fans agree.
The Crüxshadows mix elements of New Wave, Pop, Rock, Gothic and Electronic in a unique way in their songs. In the U.S. four singles are placed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Single Charts. The track “Sophia” hits #1. “As the dark against the halo” (2012) is a number one album in the German Alternative Charts.
The recognizable sound is characterized by the romantic flavor of electric violins, driving guitars combined with Rogues´striking voice. Faith, passion, loyalty are focused themes that are processed textually with literary, historical and mythological facets. The catchy and deep going music is perfectly arranged by Rogue that is more than danceable.
