Come and join Tutbury Castle this June for an entertaining afternoon!
Nell Gwynne was the mistress of Charles II and for many people they believe that was all she was known for – other than for selling oranges!
The real Nell Gwynne is a victory for English womanhood, showing great courage and against all the odds became a star of the London stage and beloved of the King of England.
You will have a chance to meet pretty, witty little Nell in fantastic costume and have chance to both laugh and cry with her.
This is talk is followed by a delicious two course hot summer lunch of the following:
Fresh chicken served with seasonal vegetables and new potatoes
Followed by a seasonal cheese cake and tea and coffee.
This event must be booked in advance and tickets are non-refundable.
We ask that guests are ready to be seated at 2.30pm for the talk in our great hall followed by the cream tea in our pretty tearoom. The talk will take place in the Great Hall which there are steep steps.
Guest should not arrive before 2pm as they will not be able to access the castle grounds or building before this time.
